September 26 - September 28
We cordially invite you to join the 1st BioMove Symposium from 26th to 28th September in Potsdam, Germany.
In four sessions, we are going to discuss the interplay between movement and biodiversity.
Plenary speakers are
- Dries Bonte (Ghent University, Belgium)
- Diego Fontaneto (CNR-ISE, Verbania, Italy)
- Wayne Getz (UC Berkeley, USA)
- Nina Farwig (Philipps-Universität Marburg, Germany)
Since the launch of the research training group “BioMove” in 2015, we work on integrating movement ecology and biodiversity research, focusing on a common study area in the agricultural landscape of northern Germany. Within diverse projects – spanning various taxa and techniques such as modeling, genetics, and animal tracking – we focus on the ecological key question of what shapes biodiversity. The Symposium will be organized by the BioMove PhD students.
