A variety of courses or summer schools are taught on a regular basis. Our regular AniMove activities are embedded within study programs. Beside these courses do we also try to offer Summer or Science School in different locations. All our activities are “real world” courses not online courses. We believe in the benefit of direct interaction and participant-participant networking advantages of in person encounters. Moreover we are only using OpenSource software such as R, QGIS or GRASS for our trainings.
Additional courses: if you like to have an AniMove (Animal Movement and Remote Sensing courses), or as a start just Remote Sensing and GIS courses using OpenSource software at your organisation please approach us and we see what we can do.
Detailed courses on Remote Sensing and GIS for Ecology and Conservation are provided by EcoSens.org
future AniMoves
we have several inquries from South-American, African and Asian colleagues – options are discussed at the moment and we will update our webpage as soon as possible
We are also considering specialized AniMoves for specific methods or topics e.g. marine AniMove.
